Columbus East Athletics is offering several opportunities for Bartholomew County youth by offering sports camps during the summer. Here is a list of those camps. Columbus East Gymnastics will offer two opportunities this summer: 1) CEHS Gymnastics Clinic for kindergarten through 6th grade. There are five clinic dates - June 10th: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., June 24th: 10 a.m. -11:30 a.m., July 10th: 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., July 15th: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., and July 24th: 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. Each session is $20. Camp will be run by CEWS coaching staff and assisted by current players. No pre-registration required. Liability release form will be necessary to be signed by parent in the morning of the camp. In case of bad weather, camp will be moved to Auxiliary Gym at Columbus East HS. In that case, indoor soccer shoes will be needed. July 20th, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the BCSC Soccer Complex. Free-will donations will be accepted, with donation proceeds going towards supplying BCSC elementary schools with soccer equipment for recess use. Starting time is 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. and will be conducted at both high schools. Camp is $50.00, which includes fundamental instruction and a camp t-shirt.
