The Olympians started off the bottom of the 1st inning with a bang on Friday night at Olympian Field. Freshman Lola Watkins lead off with a triple in the first inning, followed by a double from senior Savanna Sullivan scoring Watkins. Then the Olympians loaded the bases, but could not push any more runs across. The O's jumped out to the quick 1-0 lead after the first inning. The Olympians would hold that lead all the way into the 4th inning, before Bedford was able to tie the game in the top of the 5th which started with an Olympian error, followed by a single, a sacrifice bunt, and fielders choice to drive in the Stars first run of the game. The O's were able to escape the 5th tied 1-1. Stars junior, Ava Ratliff who leads the state in career homeruns, hit her 54th homerun to start the top of the 6th inning, which proved to be the difference maker, with the Stars escaping with the 2-1 victory over the Olympians. O's pitcher, Hermione Robinson, pitched another gem, throwing a 100 pitches with 76 of those pitches being strikes. Robinson allowed 6 hits, only one earned run, 7 strikeouts, and only one walk. A stellar performance by Robinson. O's Batting: The Olympians only had three hits, but also only struck out three times during the game. The O's stranded 4 runners on base. Watkins: 1-3, triple Sullivan: 1-3 double Fish: HBP Ross: 1-2, single, HBP
