East boy's and girl's track & field results vs. Columbus North (4/18)

The Olympians boys track & field team competed against Columbus North Thursday night at Stafford Field. The Olympian boys received strong performances from sprinter Kadyn Johnson-Bey who picked up wins in the 100m with a time of 11.41 and the 200m with a time of 23.26. Jared Brooks picked up a win in discus with the winning throw of 139-2 and Zach Foster tied for 1st place honors with a jump of 17-4. Also for the O's: Ryder Meek placed 2nd in the high jump with a jump of 5-8, Brody Miller placed 3rd in the long jump with a jump of 17-1, Jared Brooks placed 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 44-11 2/3, and Austin Menefee placed 2nd in the 400m - 52.02. Team score - CEHS: 30 CNHS - 101 The Olympians girls track and field team received a winning performance from Gabbie Meier, who won the long jump event, with a jump of 15-5. The O's girls also had Jenna Guse place 2nd in the high jump with a jump of 4-10, Sophie Glick with a 3rd place finish in the long jump with a 14-9, Grace Lykins with a 2nd place finish in discus with a throw of 95-6, Taylor Scott placing 2nd in the 100m with a time of 13.26 and Carsyn Schlehuser 13.39 for third place, Sophie Glick with a 2nd place finish in the 400m with a time of 1:02.59, and a 2nd place finish by Taylor Scott in the 200m.
