The Olympians vs. Marauders Saturday softball games were originally scheduled to be played at Mt. Vernon H.S., but their field conditions were to wet from all of the rain we had during the week. Mt. Vernon agreed to move the games to CEHS to play on the O's new field-turf softball complex. Game One saw the Olympians claim an exciting 7-6 win, coming from behind and winning it in the bottom of the 8th. Game Two didn't go as planned for the Olympians, as the O's bats went quiet, only managing to three hits for the game and allowing Mt. Vernon to have big innings in the 5th and 6th innings to fall 10-1. Game One saw O's pitcher Hermione Robinson giving up 14 hits, but also striking out 15 Marauder batters, before relief pitcher, Raegyn Foster, closed the door for the O's getting the final out in the 8th inning. The Olympians bats in Game One were the difference, showing power and timely hitting. Mackenzie Hampton was able to hit a double down the left field line in the 8th inning to score pitch runner Ariel Darnell and Hermione Robinson to clinch the 7-6 win.
