O's Baseball Fall to the Hawks of Decatur Central

The Olympians, coming off their first win of the season on Friday, hoped to continue that trend Saturday morning. The Olympians started right were they left off on Friday, forging an early 3-0 lead against the Hawks in the first inning, but Decatur Central answered with 8 runs in the bottom of the first and added 5 more runs the rest of the game to take the win against the O's 13-7. Red-hot Carson Williams finished the game 2-4 with a double , home-run, and three RBI's on the day. Williams was coming off a Friday game were he hit back-to-back dingers. Also for the O's, Chase Niese went 2-4 and Ryne Fish went 2-4. The Olympians are back in action Monday, April 1st, as they travel to Scottsburg High School. First pitch: 6 p.m. On a side note: The Scottsburg's boys basketball team is coming off a 3A state basketball championship win on Saturday, March 30th with a win over South Bend St. Joseph 67-57.
