O's Baseball Picks Up First Win of the Season

The Olympians picked up their first win of the season with a 9-5 victory over the Corydon Central Panthers at Olympian Field Friday evening. The Olympians started freshman, J.D. Rotert, who had a solid performance on the mound, allowing two hits and one run in a solid 3 1/3 innings of work, followed by sophomore Bige Asher who pitched the final 3 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs on seven hits to secure the win for the O's. The Olympians had nine hits on the day, including senior designated hitter, Carson Williams, who belted back-to-back two run homeruns to lead the charge for the Olympians. Also picking up hits for the Olympians were Ryan Fish(single), Blake Borkhardt(single), Evan Balzer(double), Jackson Watkins(triple), Logan Warren(2 singles), and Evan Huckaby(single).
