Good Start = Great Finish - O's Advance to IHSAA Semi-Final Round

In an exciting match against their local rivals, the Columbus North Bulldogs, the CEHS Olympians secured an impressive victory in the first round of the 2024 IHSAA Boys Basketball tournament. Coach Perry Nash's hard work with the team throughout the season paid off, as they showed great skill in different parts of the game. Right from the start, the Olympians were focused and determined. They took an early lead of 11-0 in the first quarter and held onto it, finishing the second quarter with a score of 20-11. They played with solid basics and put in a lot of effort, which limited the Bulldogs to one of their lowest scores of the season. The Olympians communicated well and played intense defense for the entire game. On offense, they played smart, taking good shots within their strategy and making them count. They kept up their hard work in the second half and controlled the pace of the game with their offense. They stayed calm and held onto their lead, showing great teamwork and securing a solid 41-33 win. This victory was a team effort, highlighting the Olympians' unity and determination. They now move on to face the East Central Trojans in the sectional semi-finals on Friday, March 1st, at 6 p.m. at East Central High School.
