*Official Press Release** Introducing Alison Eagleman: New Head Coach for Columbus East Olympians Girls Volleyball Columbus, Indiana – February 12, 2024 - The Columbus East Olympians girls' volleyball program is thrilled to announce Alison Eagleman as their new head coach. Coach Eagleman is a Columbus East graduate and a four-year volleyball player for the Olympians. She played on the State finals team her freshman year and was named to the Indiana Volleyball North All-Star team her senior year. With a rich background in volleyball spanning over three decades, and dedication to fitness, Alison brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to the team. Coach Eagleman holds a degree from Indiana University in Kinesiology, underpinning her understanding of human movement and performance. Her commitment to fitness extends beyond volleyball as she is a personal trainer at Zen Wellness, embodying the importance of health and wellness. Having coached travel and middle school volleyball, Coach Eagleman brings broad volleyball experience to her new role. Her coaching journey began during her college years at Indiana University, where she served as an assistant coach at Bloomington North High School, further honing her coaching skills and nurturing young talents. Coach Eagleman’s playing career is equally impressive, having competed at various levels, including Division 1 volleyball at Murray State University. Her extensive playing experience, including participation in indoor tournaments and sand volleyball, has equipped her with invaluable insights into the game. Reflecting on her coaching philosophy, Coach Eagleman emphasizes the importance of adaptability and communication. She notes, "I have played with all levels of volleyball players, coached different ages, and taught fitness to kids, all the way up to 80 years of age. I have to be able to adjust to all levels and communicate effectively to bring out the best in each player." Coach Eagleman’s passion for volleyball is matched only by her dedication to fostering a culture of teamwork, determination, and competitiveness. "I am eager to pass along the skills, the determination, the competitiveness, and the importance of teamwork to the Columbus East Olympian Volleyball program," she affirms. The Columbus East girls’ volleyball team is poised for an exciting season under Coach Eagleman’s leadership, and the entire community eagerly anticipates witnessing their growth and success under her guidance.
