Back in 2015, Columbus East High School added Silver Creek High to their basketball schedule, but luck never seemed to favor them. After nine unsuccessful tries, everything changed this year. The Olympians finally grabbed a win at Silver Creek, ending the drought with a thrilling 73-68 victory. The game heated up in the fourth quarter when the Olympians exploded offensively, scoring 29 crucial points to seal the deal. Leading the charge was Carter Patterson, dropping an impressive 22 points, with Keaton Lawson close behind, adding 15 to the scoreboard. But it wasn't just Patterson and Lawson shining on the court. Seven players got in on the action, showing off the team's depth. And their three-point game? On fire! They nailed seven long-range shots, adding to their impressive performance. With this good road win under their belt, the Olympians are ready for their next challenge, taking on the Jennings County Panthers this Friday at the Orange Pit. JV starts at 6:00 p.m., followed by the varsity tip-off at 7:30 p.m. Friday's tickets can be purchased in advance: https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=66007 Game Night Highlights: - Scoring by Quarter: - CEHS - 19, 6, 19, 29 - SCHS - 14, 10, 19, 25 - Top Scorers: - Carter Patterson: 22 points - Keaton Lawson: 15 points - Mason Reeves: 10 points - Jackson Fischvogt: 9 points - Danny Coriden: 9 points - Ethan Bumbalough: 6 points - Alex Duncan: 2 points - Three-Point Shooting: - Danny Coriden: 3 - Ethan Bumbalough: 2 - Jackson Fischvogt: 1 - Carter Patterson: 1
