The Columbus East gymnastics team hosted Connersville H.S. Tuesday night, losing to the Spartans 101.8 - 95.45. Olympian, Bethany Lewis, placed 1st in the All-Around, capturing a score of 35.9 points and Shelby Kendrick was 4th with a score of 33.3 points. Scoring break down for the Olympians: Laura Landberg: Vault -7.7 Bars - 5.35 Beam - 6.9 Floor- 6.3 Total- 26.25 Shelby Kendrick: Vault - 8.65 Bars- 7.8 Beam- 8.05 Floor - 8.8 Total - 33.3 (4th place) Bethany Lewis: Vault - 9.4 Bars- 8.4 Beam - 8.65 Floor - 9.45 Total - 35.9 (First Place) The Columbus East gymnastics team is back in action Monday, February 5th in the Orange Pit (Main Gym, North Balcony) starting 6 p.m. They host Bloomington South HS. and Edgewood H.S. in a triangular meet.
