The Boys H2O's lost a close swim meet to the Bloomington North Cougars, 98-87, but had a relay team break a 28 year old swim record despite the loss. Senior, Cavan Stilson, along with Keaton Stephenson and Misha Machavariani, both juniors, and senior Judah Nickoll, collectively achieved a remarkable feat by clocking 1 minute and 29.60 seconds in swimming. This achievement not only secured their victory but also shattered a longstanding school record dating back to 1996. Judah Nickoll set a new record in the 200 freestyle, breaking a mark that had remained untouched since 2007 during last weekends conference meet. Securing victories in individual events for the Olympians on Tuesday night were Stephenson, claiming the top spot in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.78. Todd Hundley showcased his prowess in the 200 individual medley, clocking an impressive 2:06.62. In the diving competition, Gavin Day excelled, earning a noteworthy score of 270.25. Stilson demonstrated exceptional performance in the 100 freestyle, finishing with a swift 49.38. Lastly, Nickoll won the 100 backstroke, completing the event in 56.10. Tuesday's meet signaled the end of the regular season for the H2O's. Now the O's need to focus on getting ready for the IHSAA Sectional which starts on February 15th at Columbus North. Good luck H2O's - Go get a Sectional Title!
