Columbus East Boys Swimming and Diving Team Triumphs Over Greensburg Pirates on Senior Night

In a Senior Night showdown, the Columbus East boys swimming and diving team secured an impressive 118-60 victory against the Greensburg Pirates. Led by senior Judah Nickoll, the Olympians showcased their skills with standout performances. Nickoll clinched victories in the 50 freestyle (23.07) and the 100 backstroke (1:00.11), setting the tone for the team's success. Misha Machavariani added to the triumph, winning the 500 freestyle (5:11.88) and the 100 breaststroke (1:07.07), while senior Cavan Stilson captured the 200 freestyle (1:55.61). Other notable victories included Ethan Hall in the 200 IM (2:14.20), Gavin Day in diving (244.30), and Todd Hundley in the 100 freestyle (53.43). Relay wins came from Nickoll, Jesse Isaacs, Machavariani, and Stilson in the 200 medley relay (1:47.51) and Keaton Stephenson, Machavariani, Nickoll, and Stilson in the 200 freestyle relay (1:31.77). With this commanding win, the Olympians are geared up for the Hoosier Hills Conference tournament at Jeffersonville High School on Saturday, January 27th, starting at 1 p.m. Good luck to the Boy's H2O's as they continue their pursuit of excellence.
