The Columbus East boys' swimming and diving team showcased yet another impressive performance against the Jeffersonville Red Devils, securing a decisive victory with a final score of 123-61. Misha Machavariani led the charge for the O's, claiming victories in both the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2 minutes and 8.03 seconds and the 100 freestyle with an impressive 49.91 seconds. The team boasted additional standout performances with Cavan Stilson taking the top spot in the 50 freestyle at 23.11 seconds, Gavin Day excelling in the diving competition with a score of 246.85, Judah Nickoll dominating the 100 butterfly in 54.95 seconds, Keaton Stephenson securing victory in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5 minutes and 3.68 seconds, Todd Hundley leading the pack in the 100 backstroke at 58.51 seconds, and Ethan Hall clinching the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute and 9.80 seconds. Notably, Columbus East dominated in relay events, sweeping the 200 medley with a time of 1 minute and 45.43 seconds, the 200 freestyle in 1 minute and 39.52 seconds, and the 400 freestyle relay with a commendable time of 3 minutes and 35.73 seconds.
