** Columbus East Hires New Girls & Boys Tennis Coach** Columbus East Olympian Athletics would like to welcome Coach Adam Ulrich as the new head coach for the Columbus East Girls’ and Boys' tennis program. Coach Ulrich is excited and eager to get started for the Olympians! Coach Ulrich has coached both tennis programs at Central Middle School for the last 7 years. Currently serving as the Agriculture Education teacher for East and North, Coach Ulrich holds a master's degree in elementary education and an administration license. His educational journey spans Purdue, Ivy Tech, and graduation from IUPUC and Indiana Wesleyan University, accumulating 19 years of valuable experience. Currently, in his second year at East, Coach Ulrich is dedicated to fostering academic and athletic excellence. Celebrating 25 years of marriage to Lesley, Coach Ulrich is a proud parent of two East attendees. Lauren, a sophomore at Purdue, was actively involved in multiple clubs, 4H, FFA, and marching band during her time at East. Henry, a senior at East, participates in various clubs and contributed four years to the tennis team. Looking ahead to the upcoming seasons, Coach Ulrich aims to build a successful tennis program that attracts the best talent in Columbus. With a focus on achieving winning records and competitiveness in the postseason, his ultimate goal is to shape all Olympian student-athletes into leaders, both on and off the court.
