In a tightly contested and thrilling meet at Madison, the Columbus East Girls team secured a narrow victory, edging out the Cubs with a final score of 87-82. Leading the way for the Olympians: Connelly Furnish emerged as a standout performer for the girls' team, claiming victories in both the 200 freestyle, completing it in 2 minutes and 1.07 seconds, and the 500 freestyle, with a time of 5 minutes and 28.70 seconds. Gabbie Meier showcased her skills by securing first place in the 200 IM with a time of 2 minutes and 29.19 seconds. Additionally, the Columbus East team dominated the 400 freestyle relay, finishing strong with a time of 4 minutes and 5.40 seconds.
