1/4/24 - The Columbus East Olympians girls swimming and diving team also won their first swim meet of the new year by dominating Bedford North-Lawrence High School 115-64 @ Bedford North-Lawrence High School. H2Olympians Girls Highlights: Connelly Furnish spearheaded the Olympian girls' team, clinching victories in the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 22.80 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (1:17.49). Cassidy Furnish secured the top spot in the 200 freestyle (2:17.79), Gabbie Meier excelled in the diving competition with a score of 224.30, and Kira VanValkenburg triumphed in the 100 freestyle (1:03.89). Abby Proffitt dominated the 500 freestyle (5:52.73), and East showcased its dominance by sweeping the 200 medley (2:08.27), 200 freestyle (1:52.59), and 400 freestyle (4:06.24) relays.
