EVENT OVERVIEW & LOCATION * Event: IHSAA Girls Golf Regional #6 * Host School: Franklin Community High School * Host Site: The Legends Golf Club * Address: 2555 Hurricane Rd., Franklin, IN 46131 * Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026 * Rain Date: Monday, September 28, 2026 * Format: Double tee start at 8:30 AM on the Creek and Road Nines. All players will play from the Green Markers. * Advancement Criteria: The top 3 teams and top 3 individual players from non-advancing schools advance to the IHSAA State Finals. The 5th player's score breaks team ties, and a playoff will determine individual ties. COLUMBUS EAST OLYMPIAN TEE TIMES (10TH TEE - ROAD NINE) The Olympians will tee off on the Road Nine (10th Tee): * 10:10 AM: Sophia Perez (Col. East #5, Fr. County #5, Jenn Co. #5) * 10:20 AM: Brynn Wendel (Col. East #4, Fr. County #4, Jenn Co. #4) * 10:30 AM: Emma Gill (Col. East #3, Fr. County #3, Jenn Co. #3) * 10:40 AM: Calleigh Gill (Col. East #2, Fr. County #2, Jenn Co. #2) * 10:50 AM: Abby King (Col. East #1, Fr. County #1, Jenn Co. #1) SPECTATOR GUIDELINES & INFORMATION * Spectator Carts: Cart bookings opened on Tuesday, September 22 at 7:30 AM. Carts are strictly limited to 70 total. * Cart Rules: No outside food or beverages are permitted on spectator carts. All spectator carts must remain on the cart path at all times. Failure to abide by these policies results in immediate forfeiture of cart privileges. * General Spectator Courtesy: All standard IHSAA spectator etiquette applies. Maintain a helpful distance, avoid walking in fairways, and refrain from giving advice or coaching during play. * Practice Rounds & Range: Practice round rates prior to the event range from $22 to $47 depending on 9/18 holes and walking/riding options. Range balls are available for purchase in the golf shop. ESSENTIAL LOCAL RULES (THE LEGENDS GOLF CLUB) Per the Franklin High School Athletic Department, players and parents should review the specific local rules for play: * Scoring Rules: Standard USGA Rules apply. MAX DOUBLE PAR IS NOT IN EFFECT. * General Area Relief: Players may lift, clean, and place within one scorecard length in the General Area through the green (ball must remain in the same area of grass). * Bunkers: Rake and place in bunkers. * Drop Zones: A designated Drop Zone is present on Hole #2 (Creek Nine). * Out-of-Bounds (White Stakes/Lines): Creek Nine Holes 1, 4, and 9. Road Nine Holes 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18. The boundary fence on Holes 14 and 15 is out-of-bounds. * Penalty Areas: Red Penalty Areas are defined by stakes or cut of rough across both nines. All long grass areas on Creek (1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) and Road (10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) are defined as Red Penalty Areas. The Yellow Penalty Area is on Road Nine Hole 15 (creek in front of the green). * Provisional Ball Rule (Rule 18.3c-2): If a player plays a provisional ball for a ball lost anywhere on the course except in a penalty area or OB, the original ball is dead. Even if found within the 3-minute search time, it becomes a wrong ball and cannot be played. * Pace of Play (Rule 5.6): Groups must play in 15 minutes or less per hole and keep within 1 hole of the group ahead. Players taking over 40 seconds per shot when timed will receive a 1-stroke penalty for the 1st and 2nd offenses, and disqualification on the 3rd offense. * Horn Signals (Weather/Suspensions): 1 prolonged note for immediate suspension (dangerous situation - stop play immediately). 3 short notes for normal suspension (finish current hole, but do not start next). 2 short notes to resume play. * Local Rules Questions: Contact Ted Bishop at 317-979-3538.
