Congratulations are in order for Coach Phillips and her girls basketball team for receiving an exemplary behavior report from last night's varsity contest. Here is a synopsis of the report submitted to the IHSAA: "Officials are urged to document instances of exceptional sportsmanship. An exemplary report can positively impact schools, with Columbus East being a prime example. During the recent game between Columbus East and Purdue Poly, both teams displayed intense competitiveness. What truly stood out was Coach Phillips and her team's remarkable sportsmanship. Kaitlyn, in particular, exhibited professionalism and respect by posing reasonable and practical questions throughout the game. The players also demonstrated commendable behavior, using respectful language and displaying a cooperative attitude, which was noteworthy. Although it was my first time officiating at Columbus East, I hope to encounter Kaitlyn and her team in the future. Best of luck for the upcoming games! " Way to Go Olympians!
