BEDFORD, Ind. — The Columbus East girls volleyball team secured a crucial Hoosier Hills Conference victory Tuesday evening, traveling to Bedford North Lawrence and taking down the rival Stars in four sets (25-22, 25-18, 20-25, 25-18). Columbus East relied on a balanced, high-powered attack paired with relentless play at the net to set the tempo throughout the match. Stat Leaders at the Net & Backline Addy Dean: Spearheaded the attack with a match-high 19 kills while contributing 8 digs and 2 service aces. Jillian Chapple: Co-piloted the offense with 19 assists and anchored the net defense with 4 blocks. Kenlee Gault: Shared setting duties seamlessly, matching the playmaking with 15 assists. Emma Armstrong: Controlled the net with 5 blocks while creating trouble from the server's stripe with 3 aces. Cadence Smith: Provided strong scoring up front, chipping in 7 kills alongside 3 blocks. Kadence Miller: Led the back row, anchoring the defense with a team-high 15 digs to extend key rallies. Ava Tartt: Rounded out the back row and serving effort with 8 digs and 3 aces. By controlling the net early and bouncing back strongly after dropping the third set, the Olympians closed out the fourth frame with authority to seal the road win. The Olympians are back on the road again Thursday night, when they head to New Albany, IN to face another conference opponent, the New Albany Bulldogs. First serve: 7 p.m.
