JEFFERSONVILLE — A standout performance between the posts helped the Columbus East boys soccer team bring home a hard-fought point on the road, battling Hoosier Hills Conference rival Jeffersonville to a 0-0 draw on Saturday. Both sides created quality scoring opportunities throughout the contest, but neither offense could find the decisive final touch. Olympian goalkeeper Ryder Meek proved to be the difference-maker, turning away all nine shots sent his way to secure the shutout and keep the Red Devils off the board. With the scoreless conference draw, Columbus East now stands at 1-2-5 overall on the season with an 0-0-2 mark in HHC play.
