COLUMBUS, IN - The Columbus East boys tennis team delivered a dominant performance on the courts, sweeping Edinburgh 5-0 in a comprehensive victory highlighted by lights-out doubles play and a gritty comeback at No. 1 singles. Reddleman Rallies at No. 1 Singles The showcase match of the night belonged to Landon Reddleman at No. 1 singles, who rallied from the brink of defeat against Edinburgh’s Raiden Stanley. After dropping the opening set 4-6 and falling behind 2-5 in the second, Reddleman shifted momentum in dramatic fashion. Digging in on baseline rallies and minimizing unforced errors, he reeled off four straight games to force a second-set tiebreak. Reddleman controlled the tiebreak 7-3 to send the match into a decisive third-set super tiebreaker. Carrying that energy forward, he outlasted Stanley 10-8 in the tiebreaker to lock up a thrilling 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 10-8 victory and secure the team sweep. Flawless Doubles and Strong Singles Play Beyond the No. 1 singles drama, the Olympians controlled the tempo across every spot on the lineup. At No. 1 doubles, Trevor Ernst and Ritvik Prithiviraj put on a clinical performance, pitching a flawless 6-0, 6-0 shut-out against Elijah Roberts and Caden Glick. Columbus East continued its command in singles competition: No. 2 Singles: Kai Bergman kept the pressure on throughout his match, cruising to a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Charlie Roberts. No. 3 Singles: Micah Wettschurack delivered a sharp performance, dispatching Braden Cox 6-1, 6-2. Because Edinburgh fielded five players, Columbus East picked up the final team point via default at No. 2 doubles to complete the 5-0 victory. Match Summary #1 Singles: Landon Reddleman (CE) def.
