Olympians Rally Past Trinity Lutheran, 4-1

SEYMOUR, Ind. — The Columbus East boys tennis team battled through several close matches Monday evening before earning a 4-1 victory over Trinity Lutheran. The Olympians received strong performances throughout the lineup, including a pair of impressive comebacks in doubles and a hard-fought singles victory. In No. 3 singles, Micah Wettschurack battled through a back-and-forth match, finding himself behind in both sets before fighting his way back. Wettschurack stayed composed when the match tightened and pulled out a 7-5 tiebreaker to secure the victory. At No. 1 doubles, Trevor Ernst and Ritvik Prithiviraj played an aggressive match at the net and endured a back-and-forth battle. The East duo continued to attack and finished the second set with a convincing 7-2 tiebreaker to claim the match. The No. 2 doubles team of Carson Hartsook and Drew Lawson also faced an early challenge, falling behind 1-3 in the opening set. From there, the Olympians took control, winning the next 11 games to close out a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
