Calleigh Gill Leads Columbus East Girls Golf at 18-Team Franklin Invitational

The Columbus East High School girls golf team teed off against a stacked 18-team field on Saturday, August 15, at the Franklin Community High School Golf Invitational, finishing 15th overall with a combined score of 432. Olympians Individual Results Calleigh Gill led the pace for East, carding a team-low 98 to lead the squad. Abby King posted the second-lowest round for the Olympians with a 105. Emma Gill was right behind, turning in a 108. Sofia Perez and Brynn Wendel completed the lineup for Columbus East, both turning in scores of 121. Tournament Highlights Team Champion: Castle High School captured the team title with an impressive overall score of 305. Top Finishers: Center Grove claimed runner-up honors with a 310, followed by Floyd Central (320) and host Franklin Community (330). Individual Medalist: Katelyn Edwards of Castle took top individual honors on the day, carding a 69.
