JV Olympians Disciplined Performance Leads to Cross-Town Victory

COLUMBUS, IN— The Olympians traveled to the Bulldogs Baseball Complex on Thursday evening as the Columbus East JV Orange squad showcased a balanced attack of aggressive baserunning and steady pitching to secure a 16-0 victory over cross-town rival Columbus North. Last nights game was defined by the Olympians’ ability to capitalize on specific opportunities and maintain focus through all five innings. Early Momentum The Olympians set the tone in the top of the first inning, putting five runs on the board. Owen Arnholt provided a spark early, delivering a crucial double that drove in two runs. That early lead allowed the pitching staff to settle into a rhythm and play with confidence. Arnholt finished the day a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Power in Numbers The East offense was firing on all cylinders, but what stood out most was their "clutch" hitting. The Olympians drove in seven of their runs with two outs, a testament to the team’s discipline and "never-give-up" approach to each plate appearance. Key offensive contributions came from throughout the lineup: Parker Jones and Carson Hartsook each tallied 4 RBIs. Luke Lienhoop and Landyn Jewell both recorded multi-hit games. Zayden Weatherford and Landon Bush showed great patience, contributing to the team's run total through smart baserunning. Tanner Jewell came on in the fifth to close out the game, striking out two and maintaining the shutout to secure the win. Looking Ahead It was a complete team effort for Columbus East, who combined for 11 hits and displayed a high "Quality At-Bat" percentage of 58%.
