Bedford North-Lawrence HS - The Columbus East girls tennis team moved their season record to 5-6 on Monday night, earning a 4-1 victory over Hoosier Hills Conference opponent Bedford North Lawrence. The win marks the fourth straight victory for the Olympians during this recent stretch of the schedule. Match Results: East found success primarily in the singles lineup and at the top doubles position, winning all four matches in straight sets: No. 1 Singles: Lauren Degner earned a comfortable win over Elizabeth Miskuf, 6-0, 6-1. No. 2 Singles: Olivia DeBarro defeated Emma Conover 6-2, 6-0. No. 3 Singles: Bruna Carriera took down Bailey Fisher 6-4, 6-1. No. 1 Doubles: Ava Tartt and Audrey Bush teamed up to defeat Jada Ke and Forum Patel 6-3, 6-2. The lone point for the Stars came at No. 2 doubles, where East’s Stefani Christopher and Zoe White fell to Clair Edwards and Emma Voris 6-2, 6-2. Looking Ahead: The Olympians will look to keep the momentum going as they travel to St. Leon on Wednesday, May 6th for a 5 p.m. match against East Central.
