The Columbus East Olympian Unified Track team is gearing up for one of the most meaningful events of the season—a cross-town showdown with Columbus North that goes far beyond competition. On Monday, April 20th at 5:30 p.m., the Columbus East Track will play host to a Unified Track meet that promises to showcase not only athletic ability, but the true spirit of inclusion, teamwork, and community. This event is a chance for athletes of all abilities to shine in front of a supportive crowd, and organizers are calling on the community to step up in a big way. Students, staff, families, and fans are encouraged to pack the stands and bring the kind of energy that makes a lasting impact on every competitor. The Unified Track program continues to represent what high school athletics should be about—opportunity, encouragement, and connection. Every cheer, every clap, and every moment of support helps create an environment where all athletes can thrive. In addition to supporting the teams, fans are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate. Contributions will be split between both schools, turning the event into a powerful opportunity to give back while celebrating the athletes on the track. This isn’t just East vs. North. It’s two schools coming together as one community—lifting each other up and proving that the biggest victories don’t always show up on a scoreboard. Make plans to be there, bring your school spirit, and help create an atmosphere these athletes will never forget.
