Columbus East Olympians Open Season at Seymour Invitational The Columbus East boys golf team officially kicked off their season this past Saturday (4/4), navigating the fairways of Shadowood Golf Course for the Seymour Invitational. The Olympians fielded two squads for the event, with the A team securing a solid mid-pack finish in a competitive field. East Team A Performance The Olympians' A team earned 11th place overall, posting a collective team score of 387. Braxton Burton led the charge for East, carding the team’s low round of the day with an impressive 88. He was followed by Luke Rice, who remained steady to finish with a 92. Rounding out the scoring for the A team were: Eddie Seaborne: 103 Ogden Crough: 104 Frank Phillips: 105 East Team B Performance: The East B team also gained valuable early-season experience, finishing 19th with a total score of 434. Lane Barringer paced the B squad with a 102, while Cooper Koons followed closely behind with a 105. Other contributors included Aaron Froge (110), Adam Arnholt (117), and Eli Battin (125).
