Columbus East Announces Resignation of Girls Basketball Coach Kaitlyn Phillips COLUMBUS, IN- Columbus East High School has announced that varsity girls’ basketball head coach Kaitlyn Phillips has resigned from her position. Phillips recently informed the athletic department of her decision to step down from the role. The school appreciates the time and effort she dedicated to the girls’ basketball program and the student-athletes during her tenure. “Coach Phillips invested a great deal of time and energy into our program, and we appreciate her commitment to our student-athletes,” said David Miller, Columbus East Athletic Director. “We wish her the very best in her future endeavors.” With the position now open, Columbus East will immediately begin a thorough and rigorous search to identify the next leader of the Olympian girls’ basketball program. The athletic department is committed to finding a candidate who will continue to support the growth of student-athletes both on and off the court while building on the proud tradition of Columbus East basketball.
