Columbus East High School

The Columbus East gymnastics team was represented by two athletes Friday night at the IHSAA Regional at The Gymnastics Company, hosted by Franklin Central High School. Junior Bethany Lewis delivered a strong performance to advance to the IHSAA State Finals, finishing fourth in the all-around with a score of 36.200. Lewis placed second on vault (9.200), third on bars (8.925), tied for second on floor (9.600), and scored an 8.475 on beam to secure one of the top-six all-around spots that advance to state. Teammate Kailani Scott also competed for the Olympians, posting scores of 7.750 on beam and 8.600 on floor. Lewis will now represent Columbus East at the IHSAA State Finals on March 14 at Worthen Arena at Ball State University in Muncie, IN.
