Fresh off an inspiring showing by the Olympian girls at State on Friday, the Columbus East boys wrestling team made it clear they had no intention of letting that momentum fade. Instead, the O’s carried it straight onto the mats Saturday at Jennings County High School — and dominated the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament from start to finish. Columbus East captured the Hoosier Hills Conference championship with an impressive 291.5 team points, comfortably outdistancing Floyd Central (243.5) and New Albany (194). It was a statement win built on depth, toughness, and a relentless approach in every weight class.
