Olympians Set for IHSAA Girls Wrestling State Championship on Friday

The Columbus East Olympian girls wrestling team will step onto the state’s biggest stage Friday, January 16, competing in the IHSAA Girls Wrestling State Championship at Corteva Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. Columbus East will be represented by Tienica Dits(105), Gloria Cloud(120), Annabelle Redman(170), and Kaydence Spradlin(235) , a testament to the program’s continued growth and the dedication put in throughout the season. Each Olympian has earned her spot in the state bracket through consistent performances and postseason success, arriving in Indianapolis prepared for the intensity that comes with championship competition. Action begins early Friday morning, with gates opening at 8:30 a.m. ET and the Parade of Champions at 9:30 a.m. First-round matches are scheduled to start at 10 a.m., followed immediately by the quarterfinals and semifinals. After an afternoon intermission, the consolation rounds begin at 4:15 p.m., leading into the state championship matches at 7 p.m. ET. The IHSAA State Finals demand more than skill—they require focus, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure. The Olympians have shown all season they are ready for that challenge, representing Columbus East with toughness, confidence, and pride.
