The Columbus East JV boys basketball team put together a poised, team-oriented effort Friday evening, picking up a solid 50–39 road victory over the Bedford North-Lawrence Stars. The Olympians established control early and maintained it throughout, leaning on balanced scoring and timely execution. Seven different players scored for East, led by Jacob Thomas and Miles Broaddus. Thomas finished with a game-high 17 points, while Broaddus added 15. Each connected on two three-pointers, with Thomas drilling a key triple in the fourth quarter to halt a Bedford push. Connor Rodarte contributed 7 points, while Kamron Robertson and Ridge Koester added 4 points apiece. Josiah Shelton chipped in 2 points, and Jax Branaman rounded out the scoring with 1, underscoring the depth Columbus East brought to the floor. East steadily built advantages across each quarter, answering Bedford’s runs and closing the game with composure on both ends of the floor. The JV Olympians are right back in action this evening as they prepare to take on the Floyd Central Highlanders.
