Over Christmas break, the Columbus East JV boys basketball team turned in a productive day at the Greenwood Holiday Tournament, posting a pair of wins to finish 2–0. While these results are being recognized a bit later than planned, the performances are still well worth highlighting. Carson Siegelin led the way with 16 points, while Miles Broaddus added 11. Ridge Koester and Connor Rodarte each scored 7 points, Jax Branaman chipped in 6, and Kam Robertson, Josiah Shelton, and Zane Williams rounded out the scoring with 2 points apiece. In the afternoon game, Columbus East faced Yorktown and earned a 48–40 win to complete the day unbeaten. Connor Rodarte led the Olympians in scoring with 15 points. Kamron Robertson finished with 7 points, Ridge Koester and Jax Branaman each added 6, and Carson Siegelin contributed 4. Miles Broaddus and Jacob Thomas scored 3 points apiece, while Shelton and Williams again added 2 points each. The two wins capped a solid day for the JV Olympians and provided positive momentum heading back into the heart of the season. The effort, balance, and consistency shown in Greenwood are exactly what teams look to build on as the schedule moves forward.
