Regional Ready: What Fans and Parents Need to Know for the 2026 IHSAA Girls Wrestling Regional

The road to state continues this Saturday as Bloomington South High School hosts the 2026 IHSAA Girls Wrestling Regional. Below is everything fans, parents, and supporters need to know before arriving so the day runs smoothly for everyone involved. Event Information Event: IHSAA Girls Wrestling Regional Date: Saturday, January 10, 2026 Location: Bloomington South High School Start Time: 10:00 a.m. (EST) Schedule at a Glance Team Doors Open: 8:00 a.m. Spectator Doors Open: 9:00 a.m. Weigh-Ins: 9:00 a.m. Wrestling Begins: 10:00 a.m. Finals: Time TBD (determined as wrestling progresses) Wrestling will begin on four mats and transition to two mats for the finals. A short break will occur between semifinals and finals to reconfigure the gym. Tickets & Admission Tickets are DIGITAL ONLY Cost: $10.95 (all day) Purchase Link: https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=167750 All spectators must show proof of purchase on their smartphone. A QR code will also be available at the door, but purchasing ahead of time is strongly recommended. Spectator Expectations Fans and spectators must remain in the bleachers The gym floor is off-limits to spectators This policy will be enforced throughout the tournament Bottom line: cheer loud, support hard, but stay where you’re supposed to be. Team & Coach Entry (FYI for Parents Traveling With Teams) Teams enter through Door #19 on the east side (rear of school) Coaches must enter with the team Anyone arriving separately must purchase a ticket online Coach & Team Personnel Limits Admission for non-participants is based on the number of qualifying wrestlers: 1–3 participants: 2 non-participants 4–7 participants: 3 non-participants 8+ participants: 4 non-participants 5th-place alternates are permitted, but non-participant totals are based solely on 1st–4th place finishers. Additional Notes Concessions will be available inside the gym Wrestling will run continuously until completion Finals timing will be announced as the tournament progresses Final Word Regionals are long, intense, and meaningful.
