Other notable contributions came from underclassmen stepping into varsity roles and several matches that showed the team’s depth and resolve across the weight classes. Takeaway This was a productive weekend. The Olympians left with hardware, quality late-round experience, and momentum to build on—especially from Lincoln Cooper’s runner-up showing and Colin McMahon’s podium finish. Team depth kept Columbus East competitive in a loaded field and the final placement reflects consistent effort across the roster. Next up: the Olympians return to the mat Tuesday, January 6, 2026, when they travel to face perennial power Cathedral High School. That will be another tough measuring stick—and another chance to sharpen for postseason goals.
