While the varsity spotlight shined brightly in Franklin, the Columbus East JV wrestlers quietly took care of business. The JV Olympians picked up an 8–7 edge over the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs in a competitive duel that came down to the final bouts. Columbus East earned victories from Bentley Newman, Colton Foster, Will Cochran, Mason Eubanks, Henry Eickmeyer, Henry McMahon, Brady Cleary, and Adam Dye, showing balance across the lineup. Franklin answered with wins of its own, keeping the margin razor-thin throughout the evening, but the Olympians’ ability to secure key matches proved decisive. The result reflected the depth of East’s program, as the JV group matched intensity and execution in a hostile environment. It wasn’t flashy, and it wasn’t easy—but it was a hard-earned team win, and one that matters for a program building strength from top to bottom.
