JV Olympians Roll Past Eastern in Pre-Christmas Scrap

The Columbus East JV boys wrestling team made the trip to Eastern (Pekin) High School count, turning in a dominant performance against the Musketeers in a pre-Christmas dual meet. The Olympians were in control throughout the night, racking up 18 individual match wins while dropping just two bouts overall. East’s depth showed early and often, with wins spread across the lineup and several key forfeits adding to the margin. Match winners for the JV Olympians included Kohl Dorrough, Bentley Newman, Miles Harvey, Colton Foster, Carter Anliker, Zack Lucas, Brian Findley, Draven Day, Mason Eubanks, Henry McMahon, Henry Eickmeyer, and Austin Ruse, all picking up single victories on the night. Jayden Dehart, Adam Dye, and Ethan Gilley each turned in especially productive evenings, collecting two wins apiece for the Olympians. It was a businesslike night for the JV O’s—take the wins, gain mat time, and build confidence heading into a demanding holiday stretch. That stretch continues tonight as the Olympians face a major challenge against a strong Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs program. Franklin enters the matchup ranked No. 3 in Class 3A, while Columbus East currently sits at the top of the 3A team rankings, setting the stage for a competitive, high-level dual. The busy week wraps up on December 27, when the JV Olympians head south to compete in the New Albany JV Boys Christmas Tournament, another opportunity to test depth and toughness against quality competition. The holidays may be here—but for the JV O’s, the grind is just getting started. Good luck Olympians!!
