Olympians Face Tough Test Against No. 20 Floyd Central

By Dennis Pierce | Dec 10, 2025 7:08 AM

Columbus East ran into a tough assignment Tuesday night, hosting 4A No. 20 Floyd Central in the Orange Pit and falling 66–29. The Olympians battled but never found a steady rhythm against the Highlanders’ length and pressure. East’s scoring was evenly spread at the top, with Ella Anthis, Lola Watkins, and Hayden Meek each putting up 7 points. Kenzie Cheek, Emma Armstrong, and Krea Martin added 2 apiece, and London Cline closed the book with 1 point. The Olympians turn the page quickly. They’re back home Saturday, December 13, for an afternoon matchup against HHC foe Jeffersonville. JV tips at noon, with varsity to follow.
