The Columbus East boys wrestling team headed an hour south on Saturday to Jeffersonville High School and delivered a dominant performance at the Jeff Duals. The 3A No. 2 Olympians went a perfect 5–0 on the day, highlighted by a hard-earned win over conference rival and 3A No. 8 Floyd Central. East opened the morning with a 56–16 win over East Central, followed by a strong 63–16 victory against Jennings County. The marquee matchup of the day came in round three, where the Olympians handled the Highlanders of Floyd Central, 42–33, in a dual that always carries weight in the Hoosier Hills Conference and the 3A landscape. From there, East poured it on—rolling past Jeffersonville 71–6 and closing out the day with a 63–9 win over Madison. It was a balanced team effort, with multiple wrestlers stacking undefeated records and others grinding out key wins that helped swing dual momentum. Even in the few weights where East had adversity—such as the forfeit at 126 due to illness—the roster stepped up and filled every gap.
